Mid Sussex Growth Deal

The A2300 design and build contractors have been appointed and a public consultation on the scheme has taken place. £75,000 OPE 7 funding has been secured for site appraisal and master planning for The Brow redevelopment. £10.9 million LGF 3 funding (plus £10.9 million match funding) has been secured for Burgess Hill Place and Connectivity Programme. Negotiations with New River Retail in respect of the library provision in Burgess Hill town centre are almost complete and will help to enable the town centre regeneration.

Next steps:

The Northern Arc planning application is due to be determined in October. Design work to progress the Northern Arc link road and A2300 roundabout. The A2300 full business case to be submitted to the Department for Transport in October. Detailed design and delivery phase of Place and Connectivity schemes.
