Adur & Worthing Growth Deal

The demolition of Burrscrofte, Pond Road, Shoreham-by-Sea has recently been completed.  This former care home was closed for over a decade and demolition removed a security risk and helps make way for a future high quality development scheme that enhances the local conservation area.

Options appraisal work for Centenary House has been completed. In other projects, positive feedback was received in a consultation on the Portland Road, Worthing, public realm scheme. Discussions with bus operators have begun looking at rerouting options for the South Street, Worthing, public realm project.

Next steps:

The Shoreham Harbour Delivery Group will progress meetings with key landowners to discuss proposals. Consultants are to be appointed and design work to start on the Worthing Railway Approach scheme. The business case for the construction stage of the Worthing Portland Road scheme will be prepared.
